My Artistic Statement:

Being in the wilderness is where I feel at home. Living near the Canadian Rockies, I am drawn to its rugged landscapes and natural beauty. I try to illustrate the play between light and shadow in my paintings. By using bold brush strokes, I aim to infuse a soulful depth into my work, allowing the viewer to connect with nature on a profound level. My love of Prussian blue and deep rich purples serves to intensify the magic of the wild night sky, which I find endlessly captivating. For me, it’s not about getting it perfect but capturing the moment, as it allows the viewer to engage with the painting and weave their own narrative.
